  • Don't miss it!

I went to the Preservation Hall on June 12th, and it was definitely the highlight of my whole trip to New Orleans. I had read on this forum to get there early, so I showed up a little after 7:00 and was the 3rd person in line :-)I stayed

  • real jazz in the French Quarter

Preservation Hall is the place to go if you want to hear some real jazz in the French Quarter. The "hall" itself isn't much of a hall but rather a windowless room with some benches. But don't let the non-descript building deter you.

  • Well worth the standing room only...

I've lived in LA for most of my 39 years and have made Preservation Hall on every visit to the quarter. These guys are amazing no matter who the new troop of musicians are whenever you go, the guys at P.H. really know how to pick them.

  • Blown away

I went to Preservation Hall Jazz after hearing so many great reviews on 5th May, 2010. I had never listened to jazz before except for stumbling upon it on various radio stations without actually realizing what jazz is all about.
